March, 23th, 2021 – Synchronized, the European based ‘Smart Video‘ technology company, announced today that its Smart-Video Platform supports Amazon Web Services (AWS) Media Intelligence (AWS MI) solutions.
The demand for video content is growing at an unprecedented rate. By 2022, online videos will make up more than 82% of all consumer internet traffic — 15 times higher than it was in 2017. To meet this demand, media content production is exploding.
As of mid-2020, U.S. consumers had over 300 streaming video services to choose from — and over the next few years, and according to Nielsen, a fifth of TV time in OTT-enabled homes is spent watching streaming services.
Whilst benefitting from more content choices, customers often struggle to find what they are looking for or discover new content in their preferred language. Content producers face multiple obstacles such as how to make content easy to search and discover, repurpose content, translate and subtitle content at scale, and streamline operations to ensure quality and compliance. Traditional options to perform these kinds of tasks have been costly, slow, and difficult to scale, and often require human oversight.
To overcome these challenges and solve common media problems, AWS launched AWS MI solutions to allow organizations to analyze their media content, discover new insights and opportunities, and increase the lifetime value of the content. Synchronized is among the first AWS Partners to support the AWS MI solutions.
